TRIP HOST

Zenzi Poindexter - Los Angeles, CA

Zenzi (she/her) is a globally experienced Pride Adventures trip host, dog mama, gardener, dance enthusiast, and passionate traveler who brings warmth, curiosity, cultural appreciation, and a deep love of connection to every journey.

We’re thrilled to introduce Zenzi (she/her) as one of our Pride Adventures trip hosts. A self-described travel junkie with her toiletry bag stocked and carry-on always ready, Zenzi is a native Californian who has lived across the United States as well as in Zimbabwe, Spain, and Mexico, and now calls Southern California home. She has visited more than 100 countries and all seven continents, yet her love of travel continues to grow, especially when it comes to Latin America, East Asia, and any beach, anywhere. Zenzi brings a deep appreciation for street art, historical and folk murals, local artisans, night markets, street food, unique architecture, and the stories that make each destination come alive. Beyond travel, she is a dog mama, avid gardener, dance enthusiast, and advocate for helping unhoused people find safety and stability. Her belief that travel opens both the eyes and the heart beautifully reflects the spirit of Pride Adventures, and we’re excited for our travelers to experience the world alongside her.

Itinerary Overview

This is an active adventure, and travelers should be prepared for several substantial driving days as we make our way across the country. Those longer journeys are part of what allows us to experience so much of Iceland in one trip — from remote fjords and volcanic landscapes to powerful waterfalls, glacier lagoons, hiking opportunities, small towns, and some truly unforgettable scenery.

Along the way, we’ll balance the adventure with great meals, shared experiences, time to connect as a group, our included Glacier Hiking Experience for those who choose to participate, and special Pride Adventures touches including our Welcome Dinner and Farewell Dinner. Come ready to explore, be active, spend some time on the road, and experience Iceland in a big way.
