TRIP HOST

Korbyn & Janni - Porto, Portugal

Korbyn and Janni are the queer couple behind Queer Connect Travel, known for curating intentional, community-driven trips that center LGBTQIA+ joy, culture, and connection. With years of experience living in Northern Thailand and now based in Porto, Portugal, they bring a personal, heart-centered approach to every retreat they lead, blending cultural immersion with rest, adventure, and chosen family.

Korbyn and Janni are the queer couple behind Queer Connect Travel — a platform and experience company dedicated to creating joyful, intentional travel experiences for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Now based in Porto, Portugal, these two seasoned travelers and experience designers bring a deeply personal approach to every retreat they host. Whether leading adventures in Thailand, Europe, or beyond, their focus is always the same: cultivating connection, celebrating queer identity, and building chosen family across borders.

Before founding Queer Connect Travel, Korbyn and Janni spent five years living in Northern Thailand — where they fell in love with the land, the culture, and each other. It was there they hosted their own week-long queer wedding celebration, which inspired the model for the retreats they now offer to their wider community.

Their trips blend cultural immersion, rest, play, and queer joy — intentionally designed for LGBTQIA+ folks of all identities who crave more than just a getaway.

Whether it’s dancing in lantern-lit streets, rafting through jungle rivers, or sharing stories over a slow dinner, Korbyn and Janni create spaces where people feel safe, seen, and celebrated.

Come as you are. Leave with community.

9 Days of Queer Joy, Moroccan Culture & Luxe Riad Life

This isn’t your average group tour — it’s a heart-forward, joy-filled, community-centered adventure made by queer travelers, for queer travelers. Whether you’re gay, trans, nonbinary, ace, bi, pan, fluid, or still figuring it out — you’re welcome here. Come solo, with a friend, or with your partner; you’ll be met with celebration, care, and connection.

Over 9 unforgettable days, we’ll wander spice-scented souks, share hammam rituals, learn to cook Moroccan classics, sip mint tea on sunlit rooftops, dine in the desert beneath a canopy of stars, and explore waterfalls and Berber villages — all while staying in a private riad reserved just for our group.

Days 1–2: Welcome to Marrakesh — Riads, Palaces, & Moroccan Cuisine

Arrive to a warm queer welcome and settle into a private riad for a traditional Moroccan dinner. Explore the medina’s colorful souks before a tour of The Bahia Palace, a historical masterpiece dripping in detail. After soaking up its grandeur, we’ll spice things up at the Moroccan Culinary Arts Museum for a hands-on cooking class.

Float over Berber villages in a hot air balloon at sunrise, before exploring Anima – André Heller Gardens, a whimsical blend of art and desert landscapes. Wander and explore the vibrant, bustling souks, step into a converted riad that’s now an eclectic art gallery – enjoying tea and pastries on its sunny rooftop. Then roll up your sleeves in a pottery workshop, learning ancient techniques from Morocco’s clay-rich heritage.

Journey into the High Atlas mountains – enjoying a riverside local lunch in the Ourika Valley, learn about Amazigh traditions, and wander through charming villages before sitting down to experience the best of High Atlas hospitality over a delicious home cooked meal in the mountains.

Day trip to the magnificent Ouzoud Waterfalls. Wander scenic paths, spot monkeys, and enjoy a leisurely lunch with a view.

Last minute shopping and exploring, then head into the Agafay Desert for golden-hour magic. Ride a 4×4 through the rolling dunes at sunset, followed by a private dinner and campfire show beneath a blanket of stars – a dazzling finale to cap off our week with queer joy and firelit conversations.

Slow morning, final souk strolls, and heartfelt goodbyes. Depart with new friends and stories you’ll keep for life.

Optional activities include YSL Museum and Majorelle Garden, and a camel ride in the Agafay Desert. There will be plenty of free time for shopping and exploring at your pace.
