🏙️ Days 1 to 2: Amman and Jerash – Welcome to Jordan

Arrive in Amman and meet your Pride Adventures host and National Geographic trained CEO. Begin your adventure with a guided visit to the Citadel and the Jordan Archaeological Museum, followed by a full day exploring the ancient Roman city of Jerash, one of the best preserved archeological sites in the world. Enjoy a hands on cooking experience at a women led cafe supported by Planeterra, where you will learn traditional dishes and connect with local community members.

Travel along the scenic King’s Highway to Mount Nebo and Madaba, home to the famous Byzantine mosaic map of the Holy Land. Continue onward to Wadi Musa, gateway to Petra, where you will hear directly from an archaeologist about the discoveries and history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Spend the following day exploring Petra, entering through the towering Siq and emerging before the legendary Treasury. Wander the carved tombs, the amphitheater, and the sweeping sandstone canyons. Many travelers choose to experience Petra by Night, an unforgettable candlelit moment beneath the stars.

Continue north to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Along the way, enjoy a community lunch at Al Safi Kitchen, a Planeterra supported project that preserves local culture and supports families in the region. At the Dead Sea resort, relax by the pool or float in the salt rich waters known for their therapeutic qualities.

This journey includes moderate walking, especially during your full day at Petra where paths can be sandy, uneven, or rocky. Most days involve guided sightseeing and light walking with time to rest. A basic level of mobility and comfort walking two to three miles per day will ensure you fully enjoy the experience. Your CEO and host will help pace the day for the comfort of the group.

Trip Status: OPEN FOR REGISTRATION – PENDING CONFIRMATION

This adventure is now open for registration. The trip will be officially confirmed once we reach a minimum of 8 registered travelers. The maximum group size is 16 people including hosts.
Please wait to book international flights until Pride Adventures sends a confirmation email that the trip is guaranteed to depart. If for any reason we do not meet the minimum, all trip payments and deposits made through WeTravel will be refunded in full.

✈️ Trip Dates and Flight Guidance

Our Jordan LGBTQ plus Adventure runs November 1–8, 2026, beginning and ending in Amman, Jordan.

Suggested timing:
Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) by early afternoon on Sunday, November 1 so you can check in, rest, and join our evening Welcome Meeting and group dinner.
The trip concludes on the morning of Sunday, November 8 with breakfast and airport transfers for departing flights or onward travel.

Travelers continuing on to our Egypt and the Nile journey (November 9–20, 2026) will receive specific guidance for flights from Amman to Cairo once both trips are confirmed.

Pre and post trip hotel nights in Amman may be available on request if you wish to arrive early or extend your stay.

Deposit: 500 dollars due at registration
Flexible payment plans: standard installment schedule or custom options by request
Final payment due: August 3, 2026 (90 days before departure)

All travelers must carry travel insurance that includes at minimum:

✔ At least 200,000 dollars in emergency evacuation and repatriation

🩺 Travel Health and Vaccinations

There are no special vaccines required for entry into Jordan at this time.
We recommend speaking with your doctor or a travel health clinic about:
✔ Routine immunizations (MMR, DTP, etc.)
✔ Tetanus booster
✔ Hepatitis A (commonly recommended for travelers)

Bring prescription medications in original containers, pack any daily essentials in your carry on, and consider a small personal first aid kit for minor issues like headaches, stomach upsets, or blisters.

📘 Passports and Visas

Passports:
Your passport should be valid through at least May 2027 (six months beyond your return date) with two to three blank pages.

Visas:
Most travelers can obtain a Jordan tourist visa on arrival at the airport for an approximate fee of 40 Jordanian dinar. Visa requirements can vary by nationality, so please confirm current rules for your passport country before travel. Full entry guidance will be included in your final trip documents.

This Jordan adventure is designed as a perfect pre trip for our Egypt and the Nile LGBTQ plus journey running November 9–20, 2026. The Egypt group is currently sold out, but you can join the waitlist in case spots open due to cancellations.
