Hello! I’m Chris, Chief Adventure Officer at Pride Adventures. I’ve been leading group trips for 25 years, starting in Arizona and then moving to California in 2014, where I founded California Gay Adventures in 2017 and, more recently, Pride Adventures. My passion is community building, traveling the world, and sharing outdoor adventures and experiences with others. My favorite journeys include Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand) in 2023 with 23 guys, and our most recent trip to Africa, where we visited five countries from South Africa to Zimbabwe—the people and safaris were spectacular. Get ready for five days of unforgettable experiences during the opening weekend of WorldPride 2026 — where every moment is packed with celebration, connection, and adventure.
Your journey includes a private canal cruise through Amsterdam’s historic waterways, a relaxing countryside tour with windmills and cheese tastings, rooftop access to the iconic Canal Parade, and group dinners to bring it all together. In between, you’ll have time to dive into WorldPride’s massive lineup of street parties, performances, and pop-up events across the city. This isn’t just a trip — it’s your front-row pass to one of the most exciting LGBTQ+ events in the world.
Arrival & Welcome to Amsterdam
Arrive by noon and check into the stylish 5-star Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht, located right on the city’s iconic canals. In the afternoon, we’ll kick things off with a private canal boat cruise, gliding under bridges and past historic homes as we get to know each other. That evening, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner at a local queer-friendly restaurant to toast the start of an unforgettable weekend.
Countryside Escape & Pride Kickoff
We’ll begin the day with a half-day countryside tour, venturing just outside the city to explore traditional Dutch windmills, charming villages, and local cheese farms. Return to Amsterdam with the afternoon free to explore — whether that’s visiting a museum, relaxing in Vondelpark, or scouting the best street food. In the evening, WorldPride festivities kick off citywide with block parties, rooftop DJ sets, and pop-up performances. We’ll share event suggestions and optional group meetups.
The Amsterdam Canal Parade
The main event! Today we celebrate one of the world’s most iconic LGBTQ+ experiences — the Amsterdam Canal Parade. Watch from the Andaz rooftop terrace, offering a fantastic view of the floats cruising the canal right below. Then head out to explore the route on foot, dance at the street stages, or grab a drink canal-side with new friends. The city will be buzzing into the night — this is Pride at its best.
Farewell Brunch & EuroPride Closing Party
We’ll start the day with a relaxing Farewell Brunch, giving everyone a chance to reconnect, reflect, and raise one last toast before heading back into the festivities. After brunch, the day is yours — explore the city, attend afternoon performances, or rest up before the final Pride blowout. The evening brings the EuroPride Closing Party, where music, lights, and community take over Amsterdam one last time. It’s the perfect way to end an unforgettable weekend.
Departure or Continue the Adventure to Berlin
After breakfast, we say our goodbyes. For those heading home, we’ll help coordinate airport transfer options.
If you’re continuing on to our Central Europe Tour (Berlin, Prague, Vienna & Budapest), we’ll regroup and fly together to Berlin to begin the next leg of the journey.
Full details for the extension will be shared separately with those registered.

We’ll kick off our Amsterdam adventure with a private canal boat cruise — the perfect way to relax, connect, and take in the city’s beauty from the water. As we glide beneath historic bridges and past elegant canal houses, you’ll get your first taste of Amsterdam’s unique charm — all with a drink in hand and great company around you.
Dutch Countryside Tour
We’ll venture just outside the city together for a half-day escape into the Dutch countryside. Think postcard-perfect windmills, peaceful farmland, and a stop for cheese tasting in a traditional village. It’s a scenic breath of fresh air before diving back into the Pride festivities.
Amsterdam Pride Canal Parade
We’ll gather on the rooftop of the Andaz to experience one of the world’s most iconic Pride events — the Amsterdam Canal Parade. From our elevated view, we’ll watch the decorated boats float by while soaking in the energy, music, and celebration from the best vantage point in the city.
Queer Art & History Walk
For those who want to dive deeper, we’ll explore the roots of Amsterdam’s LGBTQ+ culture on an optional walking tour. We’ll visit the Homomonument, see local queer art spaces, and hear the stories that have shaped this city’s progressive spirit. These activities are optional.
WorldPride Street Parties
We’ll head out together (or in small groups) to dance, celebrate, and explore the city’s legendary WorldPride street parties. From open-air DJ sets to pop-up drag shows, the energy will be everywhere — and we’ll share our top picks so you never miss a moment. These activities are optional.
Café Culture & Recharge Moments
Between the big events, we’ll take time to slow down and enjoy Amsterdam’s incredible café scene. Whether it’s a cozy brunch spot, a midday espresso by the canal, or a quiet moment to recharge, we’ll find space to breathe and be — together or solo. These activities are optional.
